Sattva is a word from the ancient Sanskrit language of India. It is derived from the root word “Sat” which is defined as the ideal; the pure and true essence. Sattva embodies the qualities of purity, clarity, deep peace and contentment. It is the full expression of connection with Self. Individuals who are of a healthy, peaceful existence are said to be living a sattvic lifestyle.
